What is an EMT?
Emergency Medical Technicians provide out-of-hospital emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical services (EMS) system. EMTs have the basic knowledge and skills necessary to stabilize and safely transport patients, ranging from non-emergency and routine medical transports to life-threatening emergencies. Emergency Medical Technicians function as part of a comprehensive EMS response system under medical oversight. Emergency Medical Technicians perform interventions with the basic equipment typically found in an ambulance. Emergency Medical Technicians are a critical link between the scene of an emergency and the health care system.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I become an EMT?
Enrolling in one of our training programs is the first step. Once you complete the course you will take a certification exam called the NREMT and then apply for your state license to work on the ambulance.
What is included in the course?
Your tuition will cover your course fees, a student uniform shirt, book rental, and first round of certification testing. Students will need to purchase tactical EMS pants and black shoes/boots.
How easy is it to get a job once I complete the course?
We guarantee an interview with our sponsoring service once you have passed your certification exam. To date, we have had 100% job placement of students who have become certified, licensed, and interviewed with EMS CARE Ambulance LLC..
Are there payment plans?
Yes, there are payment plans. Students are asked to make a 10% initial seat deposit of the total course price to reserve their spot in a course. This is a non-refundable deposit to ensure we have students who intend to take their education seriously. After the seat deposit, the remaining balance can be paid in full at the start of the course OR can be divided up into bi-weekly payments. Courses must be paid in full to receive clearance to test for their certification exam.
How flexible is the course schedule?
Our courses are 2 nights a week at this time. We are looking forward to adding day courses and weekend courses in the future. The length of the courses is measured in hours and are regulated by the State Office of EMS.
