Frequently Asked Questions

Which EMS program is right for me?

The right program depends on your current level of training and your career goals. Platinum EMS Academy offers training for students beginning their journey in emergency medical services as well as those ready to advance their skills. If you are unsure which course is the best fit, contact us and we will be happy to help you choose the appropriate program.

Do I need previous medical or EMS experience to enroll?

Requirements vary depending on the program. Some courses are designed for students beginning their EMS education, while advanced courses may have prerequisite certification or training requirements. Review the individual course information or contact Platinum EMS Academy before enrolling if you have questions about eligibility

What is included with my tuition?

Course inclusions vary by program but may include classroom and hands-on instruction, a Platinum EMS Academy uniform shirt, textbook or book rental, online learning resources, and access to course materials. Any items students are responsible for purchasing separately will be listed with the individual program information.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Platinum EMS Academy offers payment options for eligible programs to help make EMS education more affordable. A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your seat, with the remaining tuition paid according to the payment schedule for your program. Because tuition and payment arrangements vary by course, please review the specific program page for current pricing and payment information.

What are the class schedules?

Schedules vary by program and class session. Many of our EMS programs are designed to accommodate students who are working or have other responsibilities. Current class dates, meeting times, and availability will be provided with the individual course information. Because class sizes are limited, we recommend registering early.

Will I receive hands-on training?

Absolutely. Hands-on training is an important part of the Platinum EMS Academy experience. Depending on the program, students participate in skills labs, realistic patient-care scenarios, and practical training using equipment found in the EMS environment. Some programs also include required field clinical experience on an ambulance.

What happens after I complete my EMS course?

After successfully completing an eligible EMS program, students move on to the appropriate certification and licensing process for their level of training. This may include completing the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) examination and meeting applicable state licensing requirements. Our goal is to prepare you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed for that next step.
